I would make chicken breast with white rice, green beans, and carrots.
You could also buy a chicken to roast, pick all the meat off of it, make bone broth. I mix all of that in a big bowl with green beans, butternut squash, and peppers. I freeze it in ice cube trays and give it as a topper every day. If I ran out of dog food I would add rice for bulk.
Could you call Chewy and ask them to send it again? Maybe the second shipment won’t be held up.

Not sure about kidney disease but our vet recommended brown rice and chicken when our dog was sick.

Boil up some boneless skinless chicken breasts. My dog is on a renal diet. She eats a dry renal food and chicken.

My order from chewy has been delayed by fedex. It has been sitting for 2 days at a fedex facility about 30 miles from me and they will not let me pick it up. Can't tell me when the delivery will take place.
My dog eats hills precription food (wet) for his kidneys. What can I feed him until his order arrives? An over the counter brand? Or is it better to cook something? He is gonna be hungry soon!
Vet is closed til Monday so I can't get her recommendations.
