Is to never contaminate your honey. Always use a clean utensil. Also buy small containers. It's a miracle food in many ways. Helps allergies, many benefits.

Wow, this is all really helpful! Never would have thought of the crock pot or the sun. If the sun ever comes out . And I never knew that it never expires!

happygal 01-18-2021 05:58 PM

If you have one, the sun's heat will fix it.

My husband is a beekeeper. Put the jar in a crockpot of water on low for a couple of hours. Do not microwave as this destroys the good properties.

PEPteach 01-18-2021 03:12 PM

Awesome, I will try that. Thanks everyone!

Yes, local honey is the best! Like the PP said, you can just immerse the jar in a pot of hot water and it will reliquify.

I am fortunate to know three beekeepers within a mile of my home...so I get truly local honey! Their bees are probably in my gardens. I wonít even buy from the next town over...I am a local honey snob.

Good quality honey never is! I usually get mine from Thrive Market. Those prices are the best I've seen for good quality honey.

You can put the closed honey container in a bowl or pot of hot water. That should soften it up.

I bet itís delicious!

I bought some local honey at an Apple orchard in September. I forgot about it till recently. Now itís hard... not just crystallized, but downright solid. Can I save it somehow? It wasnít cheap!
