anyone knows if there jobs working for the state in order to stay in the pension? I have 18 years in education. I would like to do 2 or 3 more years. But I am really feeling like I want out after this year. I thought maybe a job where I would still be in the pension could help me get those few extra years in! Thank you for any advice.

Contact the retirement office. Then, confirm with other state retirement offices. Will a full 20 years make a big difference to your pension amount? You can also start funding a Roth IRA or another alternative retirement account to help make up the difference.
