I know that as a new teacher you are not thinking about retiring, however, some of you may not qualify for both Social Security and your teacher benefits. There are 13 states that do not pay into SS and this can affect your retirement benefits. Please take the time to check out this article so that you know what money you will be entitled to and can plan accordingly. Retirement may seem a long way away, but you canít wait until the last minute and just hope it all works out.
