 teri38's Message: We have been using everyday math for at least 8 years if not more, and the more we look at differentiating the less I like this series. Yes it spirals, but takes along time to get back to. The concepts for money and time are given so quickly. I still can't get past the part of introducing them to the new lesson and not expecting some type of mastery- If we could change our series I'd be the first one in line. Be careful! Yes it will tell you it aligns to your state standards, but really take your time investigating. Good Luck

We used to use Everyday Math, but I like Bridges so much better. It is very conceptually based. The students can talk about how to solve problems in so many different ways. I love how the Number Corner piece covers measurement, telling time, counting money every month, so it is spirally like Everyday math, but it doesn't take as long to spiral back, and kids get a chance to obtain better understanding before it dashes on like Everyday math did.
