Hi!
No art teacher in my school so I'm trying to put together a couple of easy but nice projects that go with our Language Arts/Literature curriculum.
I'm looking for ideas/artists/ paintings/ that would be a great illustration of
- character traits: portraits obviously but there are so many to choose from

- adjectives: I was thinking graffiti? street art?

I realize this is pretty vague, I'm just getting started...

I do know I'll start the year with the Klimt/Kandinsky tree of life and circles that Aussie posted a while back - great idea!
Oh, BTW, it's for 2nd grade

TIA

wanted to edit a bit:
as I research graffiti, I'm not so sure any more that I want to talk about it in class. Too many points that could turn into issues ( paint being toxic for the environment for example)
So I'll find another idea to illustrate adjectives.

Meanwhile, I'm still looking for ideas on portraits
