That sounds fun! Does it have to be done at the beginning of the year? I do a Canada unit in third term and it would be a great fit. As well, the teachers in BC are on strike right now. I am hopeful we will go back in September but I can't be sure.

If I could participate but later in the year, I would love it. PM if you want to exchange address details.

How did it go? I'm interested in being part of the next leaf exchange, whether it's this spring or next fall.

the ideal time--at the beginning of October. Hopefully by then the BC teachers will be back and can join us!

I would possibly be interested. It would depend on the time of year. I teach in Manitoba.

Yay! We are starting to get more participants for the leaf exchange. We have Sask.,B.C,Ont.,Alberta and Nova Scotia. If you know teachers in other provinces-pass it on please. I will send out an email with details once we get a few more areas. Thanks!

That would be awesome if you could send 3different samples of leaves from your area. While it would be ideal to get leaves from all areas of Canada, variety is important too. Let's keep spreading the word!

I know a few teachers at my school would be interested...but that would mean 3 leaves from BC. I could ensure that they are different leaves though...

I hope you do get a few more interested parties...it sounds fun!

I never thought of doing it later in the year but it could easily be done in the spring too. Maybe we can round up more participants by then!

A few years ago I participated in a leaf exchange. My class loved it. Basically, each class chose a leaf from their area, which could be the provincial tree leaf, laminated it and enclosed community information as well as leaf information. It was fun to receive leaves from all across Canada. I think we sent out a dozen each. I would organize it if there is enough interest. If you know a teacher in other regions of Canada who may not be a PT er-pass it on!
