A couple of the teachers allowed me to help out in small groups.

How was your day?

I have worked with students with mild ASD. I just have never worked with high schoolers.

My first year working hs I was so nervous I made myself a nervous wreck! When I got there and met everyone, they couldn't have been nicer! I worried for nothing! Good luck tomorrow - I wish you the best!

Have you worked with autistic students before? What do you know about ASD?

Are you looking for tips about the age or about the special needs?

Congratulations, BTW. This job may open the doors to your dream position. Good luck.

For those that have followed my plight this summer, I have been trying to get a job as a teacher but couldnt. I worked 2 years as a 4th grade teacher and 8 as a para for elementary students prior to becoming a teacher.

Tomorrow I start as a para in a high school. I'm quite nervous, for I do not know what to expect. I have never worked with high schoolers before. Any tips? I will be working for ASPIRE. I believe it's social skills and students with ASD.
