Hi there,

Those +8 and other numbers stand for credits. So if you had your Bachelorís degree plus 8 graduate credits towards your Masterís, you would be in that column. As you earn more credits, you move columns. Hope this helps!

Okay so Iím in my sophomore year in college, majoring in both biology and education. I hope to work in my local school district. I was nosing around to find how they determine salaries, and I found this.

Now from what I can discern, the steps are years teaching in the district. I just canít figure out what the ď+8...Ē and so on, means next to the degrees? Is it extra classes taken? Hopefully someone can explain to me here.
