Did you make experience with student fights at your school? How did you break it up or other school stuff?

Today two third-graders were tussling with each-other on the teacher‘s desk when I entered the classroom.
Three loud and admonitory „STOPs“, several hand movements and a fistful of wet wipes were needed to deescalate and treat their bloody noses.

I would have written discipline slips and sent them to the principal. They would have gotten in school or out of school suspension nowadays. Several years ago the p would have made them do community service (pick up trash). SHe has come to the agreement that we need to have discipline policies in place that deter offenders.
