When money is involved, I do not waste time.

I did get an explanation of the dilemma. The office manager has taken the corrective action, but payroll has not confirmed yet. Hopefully she will just cut the check now.

When I did the office manager a favor and switched jobs, I noticed that same evening that I was also put in for the same job two days later since this turned out to be a two day assignment.

I told the sub tech to cancel my 2nd day since I was booked elsewhere.

The office manager then had to cancel the two day assignment and create a new job number with a one day assignment, but she confessed she forgot to do this.

The job number on my time sheet does not match the new one on Aesop.

This is a case of too much red tape. Payroll should know the job is legitimate since the office manager signed off on it. Payroll should then call the office manager for the new job number and include the day.

and inquire whether payroll has been in contact regarding that day for which you have yet to be paid. If not, I would request that the manager call payroll without delay to confirm that you did, in fact, sub in that math class that day. I realize this is a bunch of b.s. and shouldn't have happened, but I think it's up to you to light a fire here. I've learned the hard way that no one will look out for your paycheck except you.

I always check that my paychecks are correct. I always make sure that I sign in correctly.

As for the OP I think is reasonable that they verify the correctness of the payroll information, you might not like it but they are doing their due diligence.

Iíve also taken to documenting in my journal any switches made by the school that could affect my paycheck. I record who made the switch (secretary or principal) and under what circumstances.

My guess is that your paperwork was corrected and hers was not. So she probably turned in a complete sub form for that day and teacher as did you. Since hers was intact and yours was altered (and rightly so,) she got paid and your form was rejected. To payroll, it probably looked like two people were trying to claim the same day/assignment.

But that is just a guess. It is based on past experience though.

This seems ridiculous!

I just wrote payroll to ask them why I was short one day of pay on my check.

They said they are waiting for approval of the fact, from the office manager, that I did indeed worked in this math class.

The office manager signed my time sheet for this day with all the pertinent information. What more is needed to prove I worked this job?
I was scheduled for PE on this day, but since another sub was not comfortable with math, I switched with her at the request of the office manager, but all is verified on my time sheet.

What more do they need other than a signature. This is both baffling and absurd.

If anyone knows how payroll works, maybe they can explain it.
