Students show up this Wednesday for us! You're not early for our district. Definitely a good thing to sign up when you did, as we've had teachers sick the first day of school in the past. I think all the stress of getting ready really wears on their immune systems.

We don't start till the day after Labor Day. I already have a job for that Friday. Pre-school! ugh. The woman who asked me was a kindergarten assistant and I've subbed for her many times. So of course I said yes. Then she went in for a meeting with the new principal and discovered that they don't need four kindergartens this year so they were putting her in pre-school. ugh! I do NOT sub for pre-school. Guess I can do anything for one day, so pre-school it is.

We have a balanced calendar, so our students started August 1. There are a few unfilled positions and plenty of jobs for anyone wanting one.

Two of my districts have after labor day starts due to building construction, the rest start back on August 22. This means subbing until the middle of June Woo Hoo, the advantages in being in multiple districts!

I've checked Aesop all summer long and I have 9 separate jobs for a total of 12 days lined up between the start of school and thanksgiving break.

August 12th is the start date here, and jobs have been popping up since last Tuesday. I havenít seen any for the first week yet, but a couple of years ago I subbed on the second day b/c a teacher had been in a (thankfully minor) car wreck.

I'm going to make a metal note to sign up a month or so before school starts from now on. (I don't do the year-round Jobulator). I like being able to snag jobs before school starts! No stress!

Our kids come Tuesday. DH starts the following Wednesday.

I've needed subs early in past years. One year I was in the hospital. Another year I had jury duty. It happens.

We often have teachers who have to take off the first week of school. Sometimes for kids going off to college or even mandated trainings are already out there. One year my dd in college had to get her wisdom teeth out the first week.

We go back the 13th. Well, our kids do. Staff starts Monday.

In our neck of the woods, teachers go back on August 12th. Students start on the 19th.
Since someone else mentioned that they have seen jobs already, I just looked at Aesop, but nothing yet.

Arenít you glad you signed up early? I think school starts at the end of the week, August 9.

School starts too soon

I signed back up for Jobulator. I used to sign up in late August or early Sept and decided to do it last week and 4 jobs have already popped up!

We start school on Aug 13.
