How great of you to share- it's moments like that that remind us why we do what we do. It's wonderful you were told of your impact so soon- now you can carry it with you forever. Life is good!

That was what I call a teacher vitamin. Keeps you going and healthy for a long time. Good for you!

Great job! And thanks for sharing! Terrific testament. That is the reason I have taught for so long. It's the most important part of what, and why, we teach. You never know how we can impact young people. Great job!

Thank you for sharing--those are those bright moments and glad you printed it out. I keep things like that in a special folder at home to pull out once in a while. Glad you were there for that student.

It definitely did and I will definitely carry it with me for the rest of my life. I wasn't having a particularly good day so it was a nice little moment.

We all have a gift and we're pretty lucky to have the opportunity to try and make a difference

What a tribute to you that a student took time to thank you. I know that email will stick with you through your life.

I wanted to share a positive "vent" and use it as momentum to hopefully carry me to a strong start to the year.

I received an email from a student I had last year for 9th grade US history. The student had a rough year personally last year, and they thanked me for being a consistent male model in their life. It really struck me how powerful just being you every day can be. As a still newish teacher it's always reassuring to know I'm doing a good job and I'm having an impact.

I know a lot of this job can be incredibly negative and frustrating but just know the job you're doing matters and you may be having a bigger impact than you realize in the moment
