You've had a tough time recently, haven't you. I'm glad the headmaster is actively supporting you and realizes how silly the situation is. You are a good teacher and he/she obviously knows it. I'm happy that you and the headmaster got a little chuckle out of the actual demonstration that the children are scared...not!

I love the verse... I might need it on my desk when I open up the returned report cards from Friday later on today.

I am thinking of you and hoping that this situation really calms down for you soon.

Thanks, folks.
Headmaster has decided to NOT meet with this mom, unless SHE requests it. Today I sent home a note to everybody stating that I can meet with anybody (report cards come out Wed.), just let me know. I don't think she'll contact me, but we'll see!

She doesn't know 'they' are planning to split my class next year. She's thinking she has to deal with me another year, but her DS will still be an average reader, unless he practices an awful lot this summer...

So, I'm still being required to stay silent and let Him fight for me.

This saying has made me smile more than once.
When a door closes, God opens a window.

I hope the situation has improved.

It is nice that the headmaster sems this as funny as you do.

I thought things had calmed down at my school and we'd entered our new state of normal. (A family pulled out because I'm 'mean' and 'pick on their DS' and the cousins left, too.)

Yesterday, a child received a low grade in reading. (If it hadn't been a letter grade, as required, it would have been a U.) I know this mom gets upset about grades, so I figured her DS's grade and told her he would still have a C in reading when he gets his report card next week. When she wrote back, she was angry. (I know her handwriting.) She wrote, "It's because he is scared." She underlined 'scared' and that's all she wrote! During the test I asked DS if he was nervous and he said 'no'. I don't think he was. He just isn't a great reader. Oh, this mom is good friends with the mom who left the school first.

Headmaster told me to schedule an appt with her next week after report cards come out and he'll attend. (I want to clear things up, but my verse keeps coming to mind..."The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace." Exodus 14:14)

When my class left lunch, the headmaster came in and said, "Look at all those scared kids!" Yes, it was funny because the accusation is ridiculous!

Thanks for reading.
