Someone donated money for teachers to spend on professional development. We need to submit a form requesting something that we want to do, and if approved, it gets paid for. No specified dollar limit, but suggestions that were tossed out were in the 500-700 range.

What would you do? I'm willing to pay to fly to any summer workshops or seminars in fun places and combine it with a mini-vacation, too, so give me your best "this was something I actually used in the classroom" suggestions!

I would survey teachers to see those areas with which they would like further development, and then purchase professional books that would get discussions going.

NCTM conferences are my favorite. I feel like I walk away with good ideas to implement the next year.

I would love to go to one of her workshops in Texas. She is a big proponent of foldables in school!
