Well, I got impatient (Amazon's 2 day shipping is delayed) and just went to Walmart and got a cheap one - it's an Oster brand and only $18. It doesn't have removable plates, but I decided I won't be using it THAT much, so hopefully it's not that hard to clean.
Thanks for your recommendations! It did help me think it through.
I've never heard of "stuffing waffles", but I made the stuffing for Thanksgiving every year, so I may have to try that!
I've seen the waffles from cinnamon rolls, so I plan to try that. It's been a long time since I've had one - we just usually make pancakes.

Since we have parakeets (and they are very sensitive to fumes in the air and can be killed by traditional nonstick coatings on pans andg appliances), all our nonstick things are either copper or ceramic (PFOA free), including our waffle iron which is a ceramic plate Belgian waffle maker by Oster. We bought it from Walmart. OH NO - I just looked and it's a lot more expensive now: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Oster-Tit...aker/421120178 I paid about $18 for it. I guess I got it on clearance or something (honestly can't remember).
Before this (and before parakeets!) we had a nice double sided flip style Belgian waffle maker (forget the brand) from Sam's Club. It was about $70 and worked great. Again, no removable plates...
Hope you find a great one. Share with us what you decide on.

Removable plates are nice for washing. I had a cheap one that just folded and it would always be a mess.
I think we need a new one before thanksgiving. I have a feeling there will be stuffing waffles this year.

I have this one.... https://www.amazon.com/BELLA-13591-R.../dp/B004Y6AJP2
It's nothing fancy, but I love my waffles from it. They don't stick and They are a great size. I love the way it folds in my cabinet too. I like the fact that the green light turns on when they are ready. You can also set the darkness like a toaster.

I need a waffle iron - I'm dying to try making chicken n' waffles!
Do you have one you love?
Some things I'd like: round, Belgian waffles, removable plates
I've looked on Amazon and Walmart, but I'd rather hear from someone who has one they love.
Thanks!
