When I picked up my 4 year old son from preschool yesterday he had a fox headband on and his nose painted. He was also had his shoes off and was wearing blue tye-dyed socks he made in class. Maybe you can find some science connection to dying socks.

I have the students wear socks of many colors, mix matched and crazy socks for the day. They wear their pants rolled up all day. We sort and graph by color. I provide a ditto of socks they have to match and they draw the craziest sock they can think of. Then they write a sentence about it (kindergarten)

Thank you both for your fun ideas!

A fun activity is to have the children read with their socks on during their reading time. You can also maybe have them make fox masks that they can wear while your reading the story or maybe you can make a large Fox from the book. Using felt and yarn and other fabrics. It can be a big group project.

Hi! Can any of you help me with a fun hands-on craft for a classroom of 2nd graders after I read Fox in Socks to them?

Thank you!
