As long as he's eating somewhere I'm ok with that. He's on the small side and slender under that fur but not emaciated. It is a big relief.

Even if Georgie does have other friends, he will have you caring for him. It seems as if progress is being made and I am happy for him & you.

Several years ago we had a cat adopt us one fall. I called him Cow Kitty due to his coloring and markings. I tried to find if it had an owner but couldn't.

The cat would stay with us at night and then disappear outside during the day a lot. We used to joke that we thought he had two or three families that he was scamming this way.

I eventually found out from people on the next street over that he was haha! He disappeared late the next spring and we never saw him again

Georgie did not show up for dinner last night OR breakfast this morning. He did arrive for a late morning treat. It is now obvious that while we worried about him for 5 days he has found someone else to feel sorry for him!

He did allow me to pet him today and didn't hiss as much as he did yesterday. One step at a time.
