Well I made my professional growth goal for the year designing lessons using the Smartboard that encourage higher order thinking skills. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but now my mind is a blank. What are some of the ways you design these type of lessons?

You're welcome!

If you'd like to PM me, I'd be happy to trade/talk projects with you. What other types of notebooks have you already created?

I've been so straight out this year, and every time I think I have a handle on things it all changes . . . so I really appreciate your ideas.

Do you have an idea of your general content? I like to map out an overview of my lesson, then look at sites like Smart Exchange and find a format that looks interesting. By looking at how they put together the notebook and thinking about how my components will fit, I learn some new techniques and come up with an engaging lesson.

My focus is going to be lessons on the American Revolution for my 5th graders.
