The title is pretty self explanatory!

Seriously, I'm working on map skills, and would like some sort of fun activity for my second graders to support our SS reading on relative and absolute locations. Any suggestions?

Absolute location is latitude/longitude or simply for the little ones, their home address or use your schools address. You can put it into Google Earth and it will show you the school, or another location by address and display the lat/long across the screen also.

Relative location is next to something else. A good example is that Wendy's is next to Wal Mart, across from Kroger, by the bank, left of the stop light, etc.

Use your town or school and the focal point and one that the students are familiar with then apply location from there. Hope this helps and isn't too late for you to use.
