I currently teach preK, and I don't know what this is, but it sounds interesting. I'd love to get some titles!!

I have told (not read word for word) students some books that probably qualify for inclusion in the Jr. Great Books list. These include:

King Midas and the Golden Touch (N. Hawthorne)
elephant's Child (R. Kipling)
The Boy who held back the sea (the little Dutch boy story)
a couple of the Anansi stories by Kimmel
As I remember others, I will add them if there is interest.

Has anyone used the newer edition of Jr. Great Books with Kindergarten? I am really looking for someone who has used it with transitional Kindergarten (older 4's and young 5's not old enough for public Kindergarten yet).
