I know there have been quite a few posts recently about student teachers, and I will search those, but how do you suggest preparing the parents? Is that necessary? I'll be having my first student teacher this fall and she starts before the kids do, so she'll be there the first day. Oh, and she's hard of hearing and will have a sign language interpreter!

I planned on just introducing her to the parents at "Meet-the-Teacher" night and then at conferences. The kids will tell their parents and if anyone has concerns they will contact me.
