Notebook Know-how

I loved this book by Aimee Buckner. I think she also has a second one.

I second the Ralph Fletcher books.

I don’t know what grade level you teach, but from experience I know the primary grades (K-2) don’t use notebooks. They need more “space” for revising an editing. I believe we start using them in third grade.

Ralph Fletcher has some good resources. He wrote A Writer’s Notebook, which I have used more for a read aloud and then for students to try it and also Lessons for the Writers Notebook , which as about 20 already made lessons.

Does anyone know of a good quick guide to writing notebooks that could be given to teachers to help them get started with writers' notebooks?
