An aide of mine always gave students gifts for different holidays and the end of the year. She filled brown lunch bags with a variety of summer things such as sidewalk chalk, bubbles, etc. I believe she bought everything at Walmart.

I do frisbees . All the kiddos sign it or add a doodle and a signature . Lots of my coworkers go all out with elaborate things. One year I did a composition notebook and glued a word cloud with their name and adjectives about them in it to the front& I added a fun pen. I’ve also done sidewalk chalk , an inexpensive book and bookmark too. I’ve also had years where I did nothing for a “gift”.

I take a fun class picture of all us and place in a frame I get from Ikea. IKEA has these cute, cheap frames that comes in a set of 2. I get beach balls from dollar store and they get autographs from their classmates. And I have accumulated enough scholastic bonus points where I get them a fun summer read. This years book is “Pool Party From the Black Lagoon”.

I buy small inflatable beach balls from Oriental Trading and slip them in a beach ball themed foldable gift box. I make a card that says "I hope you have a ball this summer. etc.", throw in a few pieces of candy and call it a day.
