Another one
Website with an idea http://www.aacintervention.com/home/...0Checklist.pdf
Pages 16-17 have a checklist that can be used for retelling that I thought look good.
Page 24 has another checklist that would work. http://www.spboe.org/cms/lib3/NJ0100.../620/Forms.pdf
If you do a little searching you might find just what you need. Did you check TPT?

Hi everyone! I teach about 90 students grommet grades 1-5 each week. Reading Comprehension, Phonics and Vocab Development. I am trying to find a simple checklist of skills that I could use and modify or edit as an end of. Term evaluation tool. This way, I do not have to write extensive word reports for each child. This will be too time- consuming and repetitive. Any suggestions please??

I don't have the list you remember but there are some good sites for comprehension skills and strategies to employ to help develop these skills::
The Reading Strategy Bank has practice ideas for comprehension and other reading skills . Open each of the blue hyperlinks at the foot of the page for activities:
http://wvde.state.wv.us/strategybank/
Another is :
http://www.busyteacherscafe.com/lite...trategies.html
Another great idea--Tonya once posted some really great thinking clouds (Marzano and Blooms) attached to popsicle sticks for practicing comprehension strategies:
http://www.proteacher.net/discussion...ight=bloom%27s
She posted a picture of the finished laminated popsicle clouds in clear CD plastic pockets on her bulletin board ...they are fabulous:

I found this list that was posted in the Sunflower Room and was wondering if we could add to it or make changes, it would really help me and I am sure others as well!
Skills while teaching Comprehension Strategies
More basic character study during connections
-Setting and other story elements during visualizing
-Main Idea and Detail during determining importance
-Nonfiction text features during determining importance
-Character traits, theme, author's purpose, and context clues during inferring

Hello everyone!
I do not post very often but do so enjoy the wonderful topics of conversation and ideas that are shared here.
I remember someone once posted a list of skills, like compare and contrast, that they were going to teach when focusing on a comprehension strategy like questioning. If you know where that link is or have a site or suggestions for me please share!!
Thanks!
