This is my first year in 4th - Revising and Editing and Compositions are kicking my kids tails. I have 80 minutes to teach reading and writing to 3 rotations of students. I feel the brunt of the weight because i have 3/5 of the ela grades reported....Any tips for revising and editing - especially? I also need STAAR prep passages that are split up revising passages and editing passages - most resources have them together..

TIA!!

I always take 2-3 days at the end of a writing unit to project one student's rough draft on my ENO board and together as a class we do a "live editing/revising" session. The student whose work in projected sits on a Chromebook and as a class we go through usually two paragraphs (of my choosing) and help the student revise/edit their work. This is a great way to learn how to revise/edit by themselves.
