I would like to use a software program to monitor my student's progress for math and ELA.

Does anyone have an opinion on Freckle or IXL or ScootPad.com? I know IXL is for math.

I haved used IXL and Freckle. IXL is great but the kids found it a bit boring compared to other programs. Freckle's paid version is great but the free version doesn't have the features that I needed to make it useful. However, the free version of Freckle makes a good choice activity for kids who finish assignments/centers.

IXL does both Math and Language Arts - additional cost but not double the price. IXL offers skills organized by my reading series which makes it easy to assign!

I just did a PD on freckle and I think Iím going to try the free version. I donít know anything about the other 2. Iíll probably still keep Prodigy as a reward because the kids love it so much. Weíll see. I donít want too many programs running.
