When writing a narrative with 3rd graders:
What steps do you teach? Do you use an organizer to plan?
Our district requires students to write one paragraph, but I'm second guessing when writing a narrative. Should I have students indent every time that a new person speaks in the narrative? My students should use some dialogue.

I'm feeling very insecure about teaching this! 😢

I greatly appreciate any advice!!

TPT has a nice assortment of FREEBIES you may find useful including graphic organizers and kid friendly rubrics.
