Mine were painted a dark cornflower blue at my request by the custodian. Any border looked good with it. Still look new after 10 years. Paint never faded. Next best thing was to put up a knit black fabric on another board. Still looking good too. I just vacuumed it on the wall each year. Push pins didn’t leave holes when posters changed.

my bulletin boards a light tan. I add color with the border. It helps to create a calm environment. I love it!

I painted one gray and didn't like it, so I covered it in black fabric. I might get around to painting mine black someday, but for now, they're all covered in black fabric.
Be prepared for it to take A LOT of paint. Cork is very porous.

I have never painted my bulletin boards before but the second grade teacher did and she used black. I like the idea of yellow or a nice blue color.

I'm thinking maybe navy? My other option is to us the leftover yellow paint I used in my son's bedroom.
Maybe brown? They are currently a gross green.
Here's a picture of my unpacking in progress. It's an old room in the original part of the building. I love it- I was in this hallway for my first 20 years at this school, so I feel right at home.

My colleague is painting his old cork bulletin board black. They look great. What color have you painted your bulletin boards? And did you paint them all the same color?
Thanks! I am bulletin board challenged!
