I like the activity where students print the letters and words using a golf tee into plastercine that has been squished onto a paper plate. I keep it in a ziploc bag and it is the first activity chosen.

What are some of your favorite Word Work activities -- the ones the kids learn from but don't drive you around the twist? Second grade or up? What makes these activities effective and educational? What have you done that makes you feel successful with Word Work?
