You can also connect an Elmo to a laptop and use it with DVD's and showing websites.

You can use an elmo for multiple different things. One thing I've done with using an elmo is that when using manipulatives with the class you can project the manipulatives up on the wall as you go over the problems they are using the manipulatives for. Another way you can use the elmo is to project anything you are reading as a class. This helps the visual learners.

You could use it to show demonstrations to the class.

As others have said, basically modeling. I use mine all day long. I can't imagine teaching without it. If you're reading a book you can project the pictures using it.

You can also use it to model writing! Great opportunity to model how to write.

The elmo is helpul because it is a tool that allows you to show the students what you are doing, throughout the process of solving something. Or, you could have students who have gotten the answer correct, come up and show the class step by step (re-doing the problem) underneath of the ELMO so that the rest of the class can see how/what is being done! Good luck!

I am in a third grade classroom and there is barley any technology. The only technology in the classroom is an ELMO. Does anyone know any ideas what I could do with an ELMO besides go over homework?
