Our district has students become profecient in research in the 6th grade. They use the Big 6 research method. Does anyone have ideas on how students could share their research information other than a report, powerpoint or a diorama? Also, does anyone know of a good "picture book" about animals? My 6th graders love to be read to and I thought maybe if I could find several picture books about different animals it might get them in the mood!
Thanks

They could:

Write diary entries of the person, character, etc. they're studying.
Puppet shows
Comic strips
Panel discussion
Timeline (historical topics)
Write a song
Create a travel brochure
Write the script of a play
Create a learning center for the teacher

These work well for most topics.

As far as animal picture books go, look to Scholastic. They sell Dangerous Animals, Weird Animals, Creepy Animals, Sharks (and any other type of animal in those USBorne books).
