I use fabric. Look for the sales at JoAnn's and/or use a coupon. I just moved up to 2nd and this room has 2 ten foot and 1 four foot BB. I was able to reuse fabric for two of the boards but I had to purchase fabric for the other 10 foot board. Once it's up I don't have to change it for many years. That's what makes it well worth the initial cost.

I used the plastic table cloths from dollar tree last year. They worked fairly well and the pin holes were barely noticeable. I bought black for all my backgrounds, and used solid colored border provided by my school.

How do you keep it up all year?

I use fadeless paper. I have three boards to do this year.

I've been using bedsheets from Walmart. They are either $3 or $4 for a flat twin sheet. I use black which I love!

I like to use bed sheets, or even felt you buy on the big rolls. The felt is very cheap and has lots of colors. I did use black fabric last year and that made things pop. Good luck!

for years worked great. I rarely used traditional border which really saved time. But this year with my new pre k classroom I had to go back to butcher paper and fadeless paper. I forgot how much border is needed!. . . more $$ and time.

When I was teaching I would find fairly plain colored fabric in the $1 and $2 bins--didn't have to change it out and holes from push pins or staples didn't show.

What is your favorite way to cover your bulletin boards? Between my bulletin boards, an old green chalk board, and an old unusable white board, I have 45 feet of space to cover.
