I don't have a copy of mine at home but I start with a simple greeting. "Welcome to school. The first day of pre-k is finally here!" I add in information about my special schedule, the daily folder routine, and a daily report sheet that I send home for the first two weeks that includes their behavior, eating habits, and sleeping habits. I keep it very simple because I do nto want to overwhelm the parents with info.

I am trying to write my first letter home to families and students. They have already received a letter from the director about policies and procedures. I just want to say hope you had a nice summer, we are going to be learning about this in september, blah, blah.

Anyone have a sample letter to get me started?
