Ii was spending a lot more time looking down st my iPad and my shoulder and neck hurt ó bad. I was also spending more time on my regular computer trying to get stuff online to my students. I take far more breaks now.

Have you figured out why youíre getting these pains?

I discovered I was spending twice the amount of time on my iPad than usual and was developing neck pain and spasms. Now I put my iPad on top of The Complete Works of Shakespeare......itís a really thick book. Neck pain is gone.

If ice, heat, and ibuprofen donít help, you may have a vertebrae out in your neck. Try a chiropractor.

Bob and Brad are two experienced physical therapist on You Tube that have several videos on neck pain stretches and relief.

I'm not good at links but if you type in

Brad and Bob Neck Pain several of their You Tube Videos should come up.

I would go on YouTube and search yoga neck stretches. This has helped as much as the PT I was getting.

Stretching gently may help.

Pull chin to chest and hold.

Push your head to the side like you are trying to touch your ear to your shoulder. Keep shoulder in place don't raise it to your ear. Then do other side.

Turn your head to the right as far as you can and hold. Then to the left.

Feel better.

I've had neck pain for 2 weeks now. It varies in severity. Early on I was having severe tension headaches with it, no fever, just throbbing pain. It seemed to be getting better but the last couple of days have been worse again. In normal times I would have scheduled a massage the weekend this started but that's not an option. I know getting in to see a doctor probably won't happen. If it continues this week I'll use our teledoc service but don't know how much help that will be.

I've used our massager, heat and cold, Tylenol and ibuprofen, and IcyHot. All help short term, but it's not going away.

Any ideas? TIA!
