that I think was a free download from thistlegirl designs. I have it as one of my math work station activities. Also, if you have a smart board or an interactive board of some kind, you can go to http://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/BuriedTreasure2.html I love this site for nonsense word fluency practice! You might do a teachers pay teachers search for pirates and see if some freebies come up too!

Do a treasure hunt on the playground! You could have a map of just directions. Children could learn playground rules (like slide down the slide on your bottom, feet first, one at a time) during this hunt. Have snack or other treat "hidden" at the end with X! We did this at the end of the year so we didn't do playground rules, but m kids LOVED finding the treasure (burried in a plastic tub in the sandbox)
