I don't think that the book is truly that hard to read--probably about a T for readability. But, the ideas behind it are very complex. Truly for discussion purposes, I would place it at about a "W" or "X".

I have looked on Fountas & Pinnell's Leveled Book Website & on Scholastic's Book Wizard Quick Search for Guided Reading Level and I am not able to find the Guided Reading Level of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Does anyone know whether it's an S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, etc....?
What's your feeling?
Thanks,
:-)
