Cereal Bars
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup`
1 cup creamy peanut butter
4 cups corn flakes
2 cups Special K
2 cups Rice Krispies

1 cup chocolate cups
1 cup butterscotch chips

On stove, bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil and remove from heat.
Add peanut butter and stir until blended.
Pour over cereal and fold to coat.
Spread in well-buttered 9 x 13 pan. Let cool
Melt chips until smooth. Spread over bars.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

I forgot about scotcharoos! I think there's a recipe on the back of the bag of Nestle butterscotch chips. Have a fund day with your granddaughter.

I wonder if anyone has a recipe they've tried. I see so many varieties of recipes and hope to find one that others have found to be good.

I had never heard of Scotcharoos, and now I wonder how I've lived without them! This looks like a simple, no bake recipe.
