maybe....if it's small, put a cute table cloth on it with flowers. Maybe it can be your "showcase" area for student of the week.

I had a "creative" table in my room. It could be used for writing, drawing, arts/crafts, etc. When we had some minutes of free time, the kids could use the table for a variety of "creative things" they wanted to do. I left a small plaster 3 storage drawer next to the table with drawing books, yarn, string, dobbers, markers, construction paper, etc. I was amazed at the creative things the kids would make!

Buy bedraisers for each leg of the table and then buy a few bar stools (Target) for it. No matter what you put at the table, the kids will think it's cool. I did this to my computer tables and guided reading table. (I just got tired of bending over so much

maybe a large puzzle that could stay there safely until completed

I have an extra round table in my classroom. I use it for centers....during reading my students may use it for word work or poetry. During math my students may use it for a math game or an activity using manipulatives. That way little pieces don't get all over the floor...an attempt at keeping things neater.

Hi everyone,
I've got an extra table in my classroom that I don't want to get rid of because I think it may be put to good use and I don't want to need it once I "let it go". I'm thinking of using it as a "work" table for the students. I was thinking of maybe putting a container of highlighters out and keeping chairs around it. However, I'd like to know what YOU ALL would use it for? I want it to be used and used well, not just storage .
Thanks for any ideas!
