I have used Teacherweb for several years and have found nothing else that is comparable. Try it free for 30 days...after that, it's $39 a year. Pretty cheap considering everything they offer!! :0)
I'll send you a private message so you can see mine.

oops...as soon as you get enough posts to have PMsgs enabled, I'll send it.

I use Schoolrack as do most of our Elementary teachers. Don't know what our Middle School uses.

I use shutterfly and love it. It is easy to use and edit. Plus I like that it emails parents when you update it.
As for what I have on my site that I would recommend it would have to be my spelling list for the year. I typed it up in a word document and added it to the site for parents to be able to download and/or print. I have had SOO many parents tell me how much they appriciated that. (as a parent myself I wish that my daughters' teachers would do it too.) I also include vocabulary word for reading and study guides/powerpoints for science and social studies. I don't update it often, so the things I have on there are things that can be used from year to year. It takes some time in the beginning to get set up, but is worth it later. I hope this helps! My site is www.mrscox4thgrade.shutterfly.c om

I just posted something similar on the busy board. I started playing with Shutterfly and it seems pretty easy. That means I must be doing something wrong. I just want to know what are must haves for the websites. I don't want to become overwhelmed with making it too big. Any and all suggestions are appreicated.
Thanks

Shutterfly.com has a free classroom website template. It is easy to lay out and you can inocorporate classroom pictures in it..... I have used teacherweb in the past but had to pay to use it. I have a family photo website set up through shutterfly and loved the ease of it... so I am giving the classroom website a try. There are other list members using it as well.
Good Luck!

I am sure that this has been addressed before but I am going to set up a webpage (simple, post homework, weekly news, etc.) What would you recommend that I use? Thanks so much!!
