Are there any books that you particularly use to teach 5th grade subjects in science? I have many titles for math, reading and social studies, but in science I'm lacking.

Here's what I've found so far:
Enjoy Your Cells (Enjoy Your Cells, 1) by Frances R. Balkwill

Gregor Mendel: The Friar Who Grew Peas
by Cheryl Bardoe

The Librarian Who Measured the Earth

The Empty Lot

Hidden Worlds: Looking Through a Scientist's Microscope (Scientists in the Field Series)
by Stephen P. Kramer

A Cool Drink of Water (Barbara Kerley Photo Inspirations)
by Barbara Kerley

My school is fortunate to have a subscription to science A to Z. Tons of leveled science readers! I highly recommend!
