This would have been helpful for my old principal who would send me all sorts of e-mails while she was in my room doing my observations, none of which were related to my observation!

I didn't know there was such a thing. I'll have to look for it. I'm curious now!

I just discovered the "scheduled send" last year when they wanted all of the report cards to go out at 5 PM. It replaced my old strategy of writing a draft, not sending it right away because I didn't want to imply that I was available to email at night and then trying to remember to actually send it later!

There isn’t one of those buttons on proteacher. I wish there were. I just check the list every night and send them when they’re do. I really like being able to schedule the school ones on gmail though.

I didn't know about this! When I get to work, I'll be looking for it! Linda2671, now we know your secret for the birthday wishes! I've always marveled at how you keep up with it!

I use it all the time. It’s not uncommon for me to have 5+ emails scheduled to send at different times. I also think about things on weekends and at crazy hours. I used to just send them. Now I schedule everything for 8:00 am. It’s great.

I use the "schedule send" button often as well. I used it frequently before I retired.

That's awesome! Saves you time, and lowers the risk of accidentally forgetting!

I also have gmail through work but I don't think we have a send later button? Where do you see that? I can just save it as a draft.

I typically log in to gmail online. By the big, blue "send" button there's like a drop down arrow of sorts. Maybe there's different versions or different places have it set up differently?

But mine has a “schedule send” button. I do the birthday greetings for staff at our school (like I do here) and I can go in at the beginning of the month and schedule all of the greetings for the month at one time. They go out automatically.

My work email is through gmail. I can be a bit of a night owl, and sometimes that means sending emails late at night (though I try to avoid work in the evenings, it doesn't always work that way). I LOVE the option to "send later" so the parent who whoever doesn't think that I'm available at all hours of the night, but I also don't forget to send that email. Instead I can look like an early riser if I want too!
