Aquaphor is my go to in the winter.

When i was a teenager and on Accutane, it was the only thing that saved my lips. Itís like Vaseline. I put it on before bed and by morning, they are so much better.

The lotion can be a bit greasy, but I put on pants right after I put it on and I donít notice it. It absorbs really well.

lanolin for your lips at night. I use the tube kind meant for breastfeeding women, but it lasts the entire night. No, it doesn't smell like pretty gloss but it actually is meant for severely chapped skin lol. I haven't had chapped lips in 20 years because of it (I use a store brand, but have also used Lanisoh). You can pretty much use it anywhere on your body.

I also use body oils on my hands and use the old fashioned moisturizing gloves.

I've had good luck with Carmex medicated lip balm.
For hands, Eucerin Advanced Repair cream soothes,
isn't heavy or greasy, and lasts.
Aquaphor has a spray ointment that soothes, but it
provides a heavier barrier.

Goat milk has a ph very close to ours. I love their products. Theyíre on HSN right now.

I don't have any favorite lip balms but for a good lotion I LOVE Udder Cream! Not every place has it, but I have consistently been able to find it at CVS. Walmart also sometimes has it in stock.

I usually use Chapstick as lip balm, but I do really love Badger Balm lip balm (not so cheap, alas!).
Bag balm is great for my hands, but it does leave that waxy/greasy feel, so I only put it on right before bed.

I'm with the posters who said CeraVe. I have several CeraVe products, and I love them all.

I use It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi for my lips. It's pricey but extremely effective.

I love Burt's Bees lip balm (the original), but am allergic to something in their lotion.

My favorite hand lotion is either goat's milk or the kind that comes in the black and white cow print tub (can't remember the name).

You might check out This is a family-run farm, which I’ve just recently discovered. Their Purity goat milk soap, in 2 days, stopped my rosacea in its tracks, and has greatly reduced and calmed my peeling skin. They do have lotion and lip balm, but I haven’t tried those yet.

Aquaphor is my go to in the winter

Yes! When my hands are really bad, I'll put straight up Aquaphor (i.e. not their branded lotion) on my hands before bed (it can be slightly greasy for a short while). It works wonders!

I love Burt's Bees.
They have a nice hand salve.
And their lip balm is wonderful, too.

Blistex is my choice for my lips. I buy the big pack at BJs in December and I put them in everyone's Christmas stocking and then put one in the pocket of each coat, one in the car and one in my purse.

When I had my carpel tunnel surgery, the doctor recommended Palmer's Cocoa Butter daily skin therapy. I put it on my feet because they get so dry in the winter. I love Aquaphor for my hands. The doctor recommended it for my mother when she had radiation and it is very soothing and helps with extreme dry skin. I like to use it on my hands.

Years ago I had a student whose mom was a manicurist. She gave me this lotion for Christmas and I love it. I love the scent of it. It has olive oil and is scented with lime. She gave me two bottles and they lasted forever.

I use Nexcare (which looks like fingernail polish)on the cracks in my fingers. It sort of seals it and keeps it from getting worse.

ICrazyTeach 11-16-2019 05:45 AM

I like Aveeno and Burt's Bees. If (when) my hands get really bad I use Aquiphor at night.

Another vote for CeraVe! I have never found a lotion I like so much. It is fast-absorbing and has really helped. I think we live in the same area, and my hands got super dry and cracked a few weeks ago. I use CeraVe once a day and they are fine, which says a lot for me.

My skin is very dry and I have eczema. These are my favorites:

For Lips - Eco Lips Mongo Kiss Mongongo Oil Lip Balm with Beeswax and Cocoa Butter

For milder dryness - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

For more significant dryness (skin is splitting and cracking) - CeraVe Healing Ointment. This one goes on oily but absorbs within a 1-2 minutes and itís really worth it. Feels so good!

The Ceravae products were recommended by my dermatologist who also has eczema and uses them himself.

Bag balm for hands.

Lips- mine were extremely dry and the dermatologist recommended Dr Dan's Cortibalm . It can be hard to find, but it works well.

Paddlegurl 11-16-2019 12:19 AM

Aveeno Intense Relief hand cream is my go to. It absorbs fast and works well. When my lips are really dry I like Blistex in the little tub, I can't recall the name though it's something like Intensive repair. I use Burts Bees or EOS when they are mildly dry.

Song of Joy 11-15-2019 10:12 PM

Bag Balm heals up quickly, but might be best to use it at night with gloves.

Gold Bond Diabetic Extra Dry Skin Lotion
Hempz is decent, too. Iíve just recently been using it because I had samples. Not good enough for my main lotion, but itís been good for frequent applications at work.

I also have some plain Shea butter. It Goes on thick and sticky, but it goes in fast. I put it on first, then add a layer of the Gold Bond in 10 minutes or so.

I use Carmex lip balm, the kind in the regular tube like Chapstick.

My skin is super dry all over. I keep lotion and lip balm everywhere.

1956BD 11-15-2019 09:13 PM

I like Aveeno or Lubriderm. You can also cover your hands with Vaseline and wear gloves over night or for a few hours. It really helps.

Keltikmom 11-15-2019 08:54 PM

When mine get really dried out, I go with Gardeners Friend, or Gold Bond.

Hi Sprite!
I like Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion.
I love love love Blistex Complete Moisture.

Sprite 11-15-2019 08:29 PM

My hands are starting to get dry and chapped and my lips hurt.

I have looked around the house to see what I have to use and I found some Johnson’s and Johnson’s cotton touch baby lotion and some drunk elephant lip balm.

I put on some o’keefe working hands the last 2 nights and it is just way too waxy and sticky for me. It makes my hands feel dirty. The J and J cotton touch feels okay. Maybe a little stingy on the open sore spots on my hands. But thinking it’s for newborns I don’t know!

What do you use? Anything you swear by?
