I've often started with name tents, using MS Word, that the kids decorate either on the computer or using colored pencils, stickers. etc. That way I get to learn the kids' names easier, and the students learn each other's too. From there, I've had them make a word cloud using adjectives describing themselves (www.wordle.net). They make beautifully displayed work! Hope this helps

I am a new computer teacher for k-8 and I was wondering if anyone had ideas of different lessons I can use to start. Thanks
