I'm looking to create pumpkins for a pumpkin patch. I have cut outs of my kids in poses and I want to use them to "stand" on their pumpkin in the patch. Does anyone have a suggestion about what medium I could use to create these pumpkins. I don't want to just cutout from orange paper or to just paint with tempera paint. thank you for any suggestions.

Well, it looks like this reply may be too late, but for next year, several classes at my school did really cool looking line drawings of pumpkins that showed the texture well. It included the stem and tendrils. They tracEd with thin sharpie over pencil, and then filled with watercolor of their choice (not just orange).
