leed's Message: I teach 7th & 8th grade math in a public school piloting Singapore Math. This program is very advanced and challenging for our students, so I'd like to offer a "fun" project so they can "enjoy" math. I am looking for math project ideas that would cover both grades. Currently, we are working on linear equations in both grades but would be open to ideas that would build/reinforce prior knowledge (i.e., fractions, percents, integer rules, etc). Thanks!

jtheiss 04-26-2013 08:35 AM Would you please tell me more about Integer wars? Thanks! kimarizona 04-02-2013 07:15 PM I have done the integer wars which the kids love, but never the PEMDAS relay race - I love the idea and plan to use it! Thanks. ms-math 01-21-2013 08:00 AM What can I say, they love them. Integer wars and FDP Jeopardy. Have them create games to teach their peers. For PEMDAS, I had them create relay races for the class teams to complete, tons of fun competition and laughter. leed 01-06-2013 08:06 AM I teach 7th & 8th grade math in a public school piloting Singapore Math.
