I love all these photos! amiga13, your picture is upside down. I can't see those Navy Seals.

I went to an all-day NA Pow Wow at my nearby university. The campus was built on NA lands. I loved watching the ceremonies, the dancing, the drumming and the chanting, and of course the children. They were precious.

I love to sew! I made some cute summer jammies for my grandson. I sew for him all the time.

I'm so jealous of your peonies, Madame! Gorgeous.
Amiga, Coronado is a treasure!
Zia, still c-c-cold in the Northland, but I'm sure you'll have a great time!

We spent some time in Niagara Falls. It was beautiful!

Zia 05-31-2019 04:11 PM

anna, I LOVE that you're doing that! How cool to watch them transform! <3

DGD and I have set up a tadpole pond . We had been watching one on our walk since early February and in mid April we brought most of them home due to the evaporating pond. Some tadpoles are now growing legs.

She is almost 6 months old and we have only seen her twice. Can't wait to retire.

I closed down my classroom today. Year 26 is in the books.

The photo is a beautiful tribute to the men and women who fought for our freedom. Thank you for sharing.

This was Boston Commons last weekend - a flag for each Massachusetts resident who gave his/her life in defense of our country. Sadly, this year there was 37,000 flags.

Every morning I share the foam from my latte with my pups. Today, we have a house guest with her Aussie. The lab and shiatsu are mine. My dogs expect their "coffee" every day.

Five years ago I planted these peonies in my yard. Normally, peonies produce flowers in the third year. This is the first time this one bloomed.

Mme Escargot, yours are beautiful. I have some in a similar shade of pink, they just haven't bloomed yet.

ZipLine 05-31-2019 09:05 AM

Some friends visited us at our campsite.

happygal 05-31-2019 08:58 AM

Does this bloom thing once, 20 feet

twinmom95 05-31-2019 08:36 AM

Nothing very special about this picture however it is me sitting on my front porch right now at 12:30 on a school day enjoying an iced coffee because I took my personal day :-)

I had a couple appointments this morning and yesterday we had a day-long field trip, so I planned it this way as part of my " recovery"

Oops , forgot to turn my phone sideways for the pic ....

Zia 05-31-2019 08:34 AM

I finally got to my happy place!

MayCee 05-31-2019 08:33 AM

My little piece of land is about to go through big changes!

bGracie 05-31-2019 08:10 AM

That tornado pictures is amazing and terrifying! One hit near my parents' home once when I was still at home. It was very similar. I think it was an F4, and no one really saw it because of all the rain.

Jackie 05-31-2019 07:59 AM

Mme Escargot,

I love peonies! Yours are gorgeous. What a nice thing to discover at your new home!

Amiga-Coronado??? Is that where the Navy Seals train? Or am I mistaken?

Love seeing the photos!

linda2671 05-31-2019 07:56 AM

This was the tornado that hit this week in NE Kansas. It was hard for them to tell how big it was because it was surrounded by rain. I heard that the official ruling by the time it hit Linwood was F4. The power of nature is astounding.

Mme Escargot 05-31-2019 06:43 AM

My surprise peonies. Last summer — our second year in this house — we removed a bunch of large overgrown bushes near our back deck, and I discovered a peony bush that I had never known was there, as it was dwarfed by the others. This year I got to watch it bud and bloom. I left them on the stems as long as I could, but when they were drooping to the ground due to their weight, I snipped some. These were about 6 inches in diameter.

My 10th annual Classroom Beach Day is today...

amiga13 05-31-2019 05:35 AM

CatLove, absolutely darling!

I must share again, sorry. I’m soooooo excited that my long awaited window replacement project finally started yesterday.

CatLove 05-31-2019 05:32 AM

This made me smile this morning.

amiga13 05-31-2019 05:25 AM

A dear friend guided me on a walking tour of Coronado Island and the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, The Del. Hiking sticks enabled a day of fond memories—I thought of my mom who worked during WWII on the gated part of Coronado, the Naval Base.
