Try Speak Q by Quillsoft. It was developed for students with disabilities. You can't run it by itself so you would also have to purchase WordQ which is a word prediction program.
Cost of both is about $300 and quillsoft will let you download a 30 day trial before you buy.
It has been very helpful with a lot of my students!
Good luck!

I've tried the Dragon Naturally. It's more of a commercial product and I've not had success with it. My friend who bought it said it takes a long time for the program to "learn" the voice of the user. The program will correctly pick up 50% of the words. Not worth the effort for me.

My niece who is 12 has cerebral palsy and her parents/school are looking for any advice on Voice Recognition programs that are out there. Are there any suggestions from any of you out there that have used voice recognition in the classroom?

Thanks in advance!
