My doctor told me to take Umcka. It really shortened my cold. She said you can get it from Whole Foods, but I ordered it on Amazom. I have also used Cold-eeze with good results.

I usually start taking Airborne. If I am feeling achy then I will take Nyquil before I go to bed. Usually works. I hope you feel better soon!

Cup of hot water, table spoon of lemon juice, a squeeze of honey, and as much cayenne pepper as you can handle and mixed together.

I just got my first cold Friday. I'm a big baby when I'm sick. I have Emergen-C and elderberry syrup at home. I've taken them 3X a day. Hoping they hurry things along so I can feel normal!

I also pay a lot of attention to my body and energy levels. I avoid "burning the candle at both ends." I take vitamins daily and also a dairy free probiotic.

Apricot brandy with honey and hot water right before you get into a nice warm bed. Works for me!!

Zinc! Coldeze has always worked for me. I start at the first sign and take one every few hours.

I use Cold Eeze (zinc drops) every 3 hours as soon as I feel sick. Also elderberry syrup and lots of hand washing!

Zicam nasal swabs along with TheraZinc Echinacea lozenges has warded off several colds for me. Even if you donít catch it in time this go-round, stock up on these two items so youíre ready next time. I even keep some of each of these in my purse.

Vitamin C, preferably from fresh fruit.
Neti pot. I actually think this is the most effective, since it rinses out the germs that get into the nose and can cause inflammation. I use it morning and evening when I feel a cold coming on.

Zicam throat spray. It works wonders in warding off a cold from settling in for a long stay.

Rest and lots of water/ liquids. Maybe some airborne or vitamin C??

So I’m about one of the only teachers not getting sick so far, which I attributed to my early flu shot. But since last night I’m feeling stuffy and my throat is feeling a scratchy.
So what’s your best way to kick this cold from progressing besides resting and water? TIA
