The weather has been great lately. I hope you love Seattle!

No clue, but Google Maps has a great feature where you can choose car, foot, or public transportation. So it will show you a walking map with time and distance. That might help when planning a trip!

Walking from Pikes Place Market to Seattle Center is about a 20 minute walk for adults. Walking this route during the day should be fine but I would not do this at dusk or after dark. I would Uber after dark.

Thanks, GraceKrispy! I didn't know.

I like to do that too when I'm in Seattle. It's really only 1 mile.

I haven't tried the monorail but that sounds like fun. Maybe I'll take my granddaughters on it when I visit in August.

Yes, the fish throwers are right there at the front and center of Pike Place Market (never "Pikes" or "Pike's" )

We walk from Pike Place to Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is) frequently, but it's a hike. The Monorail is much faster and it just adds to the experience It's a little walk from Pike Place.

Keep in mind that Pike Place Market starts closing pretty early. Some of the farm tables close at 4 and by 6 lots of the shops are closed.

Since we come from the ferry, we always start with the waterfront and then Pike Place Market. From the market walk up into downtown and go to Westlake Center. Take the monorail from there to the Seattle Center. (It's not a long ride, but interesting to do.) As you come off the monorail you'll see the Space Needle right there. This is a standard part of any tourist "day in Seattle" plan and is an easy walk except that you are going uphill. We walk back down again.

If you are only going one way, you can reverse the whole plan so you'd be heading downhill. Start at the Seattle Center and head down toward the waterfront. Then uber back to your hotel or car.

The fish throwing happens front and center on the main level of Pike Place Market. You really can't miss it.

I think you can take the monorail.

Does any know if it is possible to walk from Pikes Place Market to the Space Needle? Also, does anyone know the name and/or location of the place at the market that throws the fish? We will only be there for one late afternoon and evening and we would like to see both if possible. Thank you!
